Fulham have reached the stage where they need a positive result to boost their survival hopes and a home win over Wolves would fit the bill nicely.
Mid-table Wanderers will be no pushovers but it is hard not to feel the Cottagers could just benefit from wanting it more on this occasion.
We’re going with Scott Parker’s side to prevail at 29/20 for our first Fulham vs Wolves prediction.
A Look At Fulham’s Betting Odds
Fulham looked on course for a much-needed victory when taking a deserved 61st-minute lead at Aston Villa through Aleksandar Mitrovic.
However, the pressure of being in front got to them and Villa took full advantage by netting three times in a 10-minute blitz.
That was a third straight defeat for the Cottagers, who are three points behind fourth-from-bottom Newcastle and have played a game more.
One major plus point for Parker, though, was the continued resurgence of Mitrovic, who netted five goals in three games for Serbia during the international break.
“I thought he was brilliant,” beamed the manager. “He’s come off international duty with goals. Strikers, their main confidence source is goals.
“So he’d earned the right to start and I was very pleased with his all-round game.
“People will judge him for his goals, I judge him for his all-round play, his work ethic for the team, and I thought he was exceptional in that.
“The icing on the cake for him was his goal, it’s just a shame it wasn’t a goal which got us some points but it bodes well for us going forward.”
With the Cottagers needing to push for maximum points here, this could be a more open contest than many pundits are expecting.
Last Fulham line-up: Areola, Tete, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Aina, Loftus-Cheek, Lemina, Reed, Mitrovic, Decordova-Reid, Lookman.
A Look At Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Betting Odds
Wolves have only picked up two points from their last five outings following Monday’s 3-2 loss to West Ham at Molineux.
Wanderers were made to pay for some poor defending when going 3-0 down inside 40 minutes and couldn’t quite recover.
Leander Dendoncker and Fabio Silva did pull goals back to set up a tense finish but the Hammers held on.
Boss Nuno Espirito Santo said: “I’m angry with myself with the way we dealt with the situations. Of course I’m angry.
“We started poorly, all the good things we did in attack were taken away. We defended poorly. It’s something we have to work on and try to improve our players.
“Offensively we were OK, we created chances, but conceded three goals – all of them identical. I’m not pleased.”
Wolves remain 14th and lost Jonny to his second serious knee injury in less than 12 months after he damaged his ACL on Sunday.
After a couple of seasons scaling new heights, Wanderers have been brought back down to earth this term and it will be interesting to see how their resolve holds up.
For now, we’re going with 19/2 for the Cottagers to oblige 2-1 to complete our Fulham vs Wolves betting tips.
Last Wolves line-up: Patricio, Ait Nouri, Coady, Semedo, Dendoncker, Neves, Podence, Saiss, Neto, William Jose, Traore.
Aston Villa 3-1 FULHAM – Aleksandar Mitrovic
WOLVES 2-3 West Ham – Leander Dendoncker, Fabio Silva
Head-to-head: Wolves 1-0 Fulham, Wolves 1-0 Fulham, Fulham 1-1 Wolves, Fulham 2-0 Wolves, Wolves 2-0 Fulham
