Rangers battled back to claim a 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague last week and are now the clear favourites to progress to the Europa League quarter-finals when they host the second leg at Ibrox.

We correctly tipped 16/5 for a score draw and 29/10 for both teams to score in the first half in the first leg so hopefully we can repeat that success.

Another exciting game looks likely so a home win and over 2.5 goals at 12/5 is our opening Rangers vs Slavia Prague prediction.

A Look At Rangers’ Betting Odds

Filip Helander’s away goal was the perfect hangover cure for Rangers as they secured a draw in the Czech capital just a few days after partying to celebrate their first league title in a decade.

Their wild weekend appeared to catch up with them at the Eden Arena as they backed off to allow Nicolae Stanciu to fire Slavia into an early lead.

Helander’s tap-in preserved their 12-game unbeaten run against continental opposition though and set them up with a golden chance to march on again, while they were also thankful for a stunning late save from Allan McGregor.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard said: “They are a real good team, a real powerful team. They are effective, they play vertical.

“We knew they weren’t going to kill us from a technical point of view, but we knew we would have to match them physically in terms of their running power.

“We managed to do that after the opening stages of the game but in no way is this game over or are we in any way, shape or form favourites.

“I think this tie sits 50-50 and it’s a real exciting match to look forward to at Ibrox.”

We give Rangers more chance than that, especially having had a full week to prepare. They have scored 12 goals in their last three home games, including a 5-2 thrashing of Royal Antwerp in the last round.

This is a step up in class but looking at the Rangers vs Slavia Prague odds, we like 9/4 for the Light Blues to score in both halves.

A Look At Slavia Prague’s Betting Odds

Slavia may come to regret not winning the home leg but their success in the previous round showed that does not have to be the case.

They were held to a goalless draw at home against Leicester in the round of 32 but then claimed a stunning 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium as two second-half goals sent the Premier League side crashing out.

That shows the threat they possess and they are unbeaten in all competitions since December when they suffered a 4-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen in their final Europa League group match.

This has the makings of a thrilling contest but we’re backing the hosts to come out on top 2-1 at 8/1 as our final Rangers vs Slavia Prague prediction.
