We’re continuing our weekly La Liga predictions with a near-7/1 Saturday treble from the fifth round of fixtures in Spain’s top tier.
Widely regarded as one of the most entertaining competitions in Europe, this division is expected to provide plenty of thrills and spills again this term.
Villarreal to beat Valladolid @ 3/5
The Yellow Submarines were a little slow to get going this season, but followed up a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid at El Madrigal by romping to a 3-0 victory at Leganes and now look up to full speed. Striker Gerard Moreno has made a big impression this term, netting five times in four appearances, and he will be hoping to add to that tally here. Valladolid are coming off a 2-0 loss at Levante and a 1-1 draw at home to Osasuna, so we’re keen to take them on in our La Liga predictions.
Levante and Eibar to draw @ 5/2
Paco Lopez will be content with Levante’s start to the campaign, as they followed up home wins over Villarreal and Valladolid with a brave effort at Real Madrid, where they trailed 3-0 at half-time but pulled a couple of goals back after the break. However, we feel Eibar have been playing better than a return of one point from four games suggests and this should be a close contest. The visitors drew at Osasuna and only went down by a single score against Mallorca, Atletico Madrid and Espanyol.
Atletico Madrid to beat Celta Vigo @ 21/50
Los Colchoneros showed great spirit to draw 2-2 with Juventus in the Champions League after trailing 2-0, with Hector Herrera grabbing a last-gasp equaliser. Former Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier declared: “We kept on going, kept on believing.” Diego Simeone will not be happy with conceding six goals in Atletico’s last three matches, though, and we’re expecting a more clinical defensive display when Celta visit.
