Fulham have had mixed results since dropping back into the Championship but at times look capable of taking this division by storm.
The Cottagers can make a statement of intent by seeing off West Brom, who are unbeaten after six league matches and rated one of the favourites to push for promotion.
We’re snapping up Evens for a home win as a confident first Fulham vs West Brom prediction.
A Look At Fulham’s Betting Odds
Fulham overcame an opening loss at Barnsley to rattle off three straight victories, culminating with an impressive 4-0 mauling of Millwall at Craven Cottage.
Scott Parker will then have been very frustrated to suffer a 2-1 home loss to Nottingham Forest, but drawing 1-1 at Cardiff prior to the international break was a more positive effort.
Cardiff struck three minutes before the interval through Josh Murphy, but Fulham were level on the stroke of half-time as Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his fifth goal of the season.
The Cottagers then dominated the second period before Harry Arter’s controversial dismissal allowed the Bluebirds to apply late pressure.
“We had to show real grit and determination – something I’ve questioned these players with, certainly last year and this year,” Parker said.
“To a man, I felt they rolled their sleeves up and dug in. Overall, it’s probably a point well gained.”
Adding some resilience to an attractive style of play is a real bonus!
Keeping a clean sheet against the Baggies will be tough, but we’re adding 5/2 for a home win and both teams to score to our Fulham vs West Brom betting tips.
A Look At West Bromwich Albion’s Betting Odds
West Brom are two points and a couple of places above their hosts in fourth following three wins and the same number of draws in this division.
Albion were handed a kind early schedule, though, and would arguably have targeted picking up more than a dozen points at this stage.
Since opening with a fine success at Forest, Slaven Bilic has also celebrated narrow victories over Luton and Blackburn.
A 1-1 stalemate at Derby was another decent result, but drawing at home to Millwall and Reading will be seen as points dropped.
One positive has been the progress of Brazilian midfielder Matheus Pereira since joining on loan from Sporting Lisbon, with Bilic beaming: “He’s a player.
“I knew him from Germany last year and that’s why we wanted to sign him. He’s confident and comfortable on the ball and he likes to get in the pockets.
“He likes to pass the ball and get in the box, but he doesn’t mind defending. He’s not a showman – he wants to penetrate and run into the box.”
Albion should be in the top six again this term, but this is their stiffest test to date and we’re prepared to take them on.
Looking at the Fulham vs West Brom odds, there is value appeal in 14/1 for a 3-1 home win.
Cardiff 1-1 FULHAM – Aleksandar Mitrovic
WEST BROM 3-2 Blackburn – Matt Phillips, Jake Livermore, Grady Diangana
Head-to-head: West Brom 1-1 Fulham, Fulham 1-1 West Brom
