We’ve got five Europa Conference League predictions for Thursday’s first round of group matches in the inaugural competition and will land a 36/1 accumulator if they all come in.
We have already produced a separate match preview for Rennes vs Tottenham but here are our other selections.
Also, don’t forget to watch out for bwin’s Enhanced Accas, with price boosts provided on a number of popular combinations from all competitions.
FC Copenhagen to win at Slovan Bratislava @ 6/8
Copenhagen have raced out of the blocks in Denmark this season and are two points clear after the first eight matches. They remain unbeaten and have enjoyed six straight wins, all by at least two goals with 17 goals scored during that run. They should be full of confidence as they head to Slovakia to face Slovan Bratislava, who were far from impressive as they were knocked out of Champions League and Europa League qualifying.
Basel to win at Qarabag @ Evens
Basel are one of the strongest teams in the competition, according to the UEFA rankings, and will be out to show why in their Group H opener. They navigated three rounds of qualifying to reach the group stage and are unbeaten in Switzerland this season. The goals are flowing, with 17 scored in six league matches including seven from Brazilian striker Arthur Cabral, who has 15 in 12 appearances in all competitions this season including two-hat-tricks. Qarabag knocked out Aberdeen in the last round but we’re happy to take them on in our Europa Conference League predictions.
Slavia Prague and Union Berlin to draw @ 12/5
Union Berlin have been the draw specialists in the Bundesliga this season and we expect more of the same here. Three of their first four league matches have resulted in the points being shared while Slavia Prague’s home games are often tight affairs. They drew here with Legia Warsaw in Europa League qualifying before a 2-1 defeat in the away leg while Leicester and Rangers both drew in the Czech capital during last season’s Europa League.
Vitesse Arnhem to win at Mura @ 58/100
We focus on the Dutch teams for the last of our Europa Conference League predictions and Vitesse should be too strong for Slovenian side Mura, who were thrashed 5-1 by Sturm Graz on aggregate in Europa League qualifying. Vitesse have had a mixed start in the Eredivisie with two wins and two defeats but last month’s 5-4 aggregate victory over Anderlecht should give them confidence they can make an impact in this competition.
AZ Alkmaar to win at Randers @ 98/100
Neither of these teams are in great form but AZ Alkmaar have more European experience and should have the quality to edge it. One win from three matches is a poor start to their Eredivisie campaign but there is plenty of time to recover as they look to repeat last season’s top-three finish. Randers have suffered back-to-back defeats in Denmark and have several players ruled out with injuries so the visitors can take advantage.
