Both teams to score tips for Euro 2020 quarter-finals

We flopped badly with our Euro 2020 both teams to score tips at the last-16 stage but are having another go for the quarter-finals, with a near-19/2 acca the aim.

There was a mixture of entertaining encounters and tight tussles to start the knockout rounds and that trend could continue.

Switzerland vs Spain = NO @ 4/5

Both of these teams were involved in classic contests last time out, with La Roja beating Croatia 5-3 after extra-time and the Rossocrociati edging out France on penalties following a 3-3 draw. However, they tend to produce tight tussles when they get together as last year’s Nations League encounters ended with a narrow 1-0 win for Spain in Madrid followed by a 1-1 draw in Basel. Luis Enrique will urge his side to dominate possession and we fear the Swiss may struggle to create chances.

Belgium vs Italy = NO @ 3/4

The Azzurri impressed with their energy and enthusiasm during the group stage but then reverted to type when the pressure was on, drawing 0-0 with Austria before prevailing in extra-time. Belgium faced a stern test of their resolve when tackling holders Portugal at the last-16 stage but Thorgan Hazard’s superb long-range strike approaching half-time put them in the driving seat and they held firm for a 1-0 success. This has all the makings of a cagey contest on that evidence.

Czech Republic vs Denmark = YES @ 11/10

The Danes played some great football in a 2-1 defeat by Belgium before snatching second place in that pool when romping to a 4-1 triumph over Russia and put in another action-packed performance to rout Wales 4-0. However, the Czechs have also exceeded expectations and shouldn’t be underestimated after upsetting the odds with a 2-0 win over Netherlands. It is hard to ignore Patrik Schick’s four goals at this tournament following another neat finish in that game and this will hopefully be an open affair.

Ukraine vs England = NO @ 4/7

Gareth Southgate’s side have gone six games without conceding and let in just one goal in 10 matches, so one of the meanest defences in international football will be eyeing another clean sheet in Rome. Ukraine’s commitment has been excellent, led by the energy of Manchester City utility player Oleksandr Zinchenko, while West Ham’s Andriy Yarmolenko and Roman Yaremchuk of Gent have linked up well in attack. However, we fear the underdogs lack the quality of their opponents in practically every department.
